Muchamad Kenny Rizki Daeng Macallo

 

Kenny Macallo is a highly experienced trial lawyer and negotiator who has been practicing since 2002. He works on a broad range of disputes, mainly focusing on criminal matters and industrial relations disputes (as well as various commercial/civil claim disputes). Kenny has assisted clients at all stages of criminal proceedings (from the police investigation to the criminal trial) with respect to various criminal matters, such as fraud, embezzlement, forgery, and unfair business competition matters. Kenny has also assisted clients in corruption investigations carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Attorney General Office and the Indonesian Police.

As an employment litigation lawyer, Kenny has frequently assisted clients by bringing disputing parties to the negotiation table and securing out-of-court settlements, allowing clients to effectively manage their legal costs. Kenny has also spoken at various conferences on employment disputes.

Kenny also focuses on compliance matters. His substantial experience in handling corruption cases allows him to provide not only theoretical, but also practical perspectives on compliance issues. Kenny has assisted and represented clients in conducting internal compliance audits, including anti-bribery, anti-corruption, or code of conduct investigations.

Turangga Harlin, S.H., LL.M., MCIArb.

Turangga is a seasoned lawyer for commercial disputes. He has advised clients on a variety of disputes, encompassing banking and finance, construction, distributorship, joint venture, shareholder, and telecom disputes. Turangga has represented clients in cross-border disputes involving a number of jurisdictions, as well as complex civil cases, such as multi-party litigation and citizen lawsuit cases. He is also well experienced in corporate crimes and various state administrative disputes, including those concerning revocation of mining and distribution licenses.

As a dispute lawyer, Turangga has assisted and represented clients in arbitration proceedings before domestic and international institutions. He has also defended clients in setting aside proceedings of foreign arbitral awards. Turangga’s articles on arbitration have appeared in publications including the YSIAC Newsletter, Kluwer Arbitration Blog, as well as IPBA (Inter-Pacific Bar Association) Journal.

Before practicing at MHMS, Turangga was a Senior Associate at HHP Law Firm, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International in Indonesia. He graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Law, Trisakti University in 2006, and obtained his master’s degree from National University of Singapore in 2009. Brian Manuel

Brian has an extensive experience in commercial dispute resolution practice areas, including investment, shareholder, and aviation and shipping disputes, bankruptcy/restructuring, criminal investigation and litigation, as well as internal corporate investigation and other compliance-related works. He was involved in a number of major dispute-related matters, such as the debt restructuring of Mandala and Batavia airlines, and PT Berlian Laju Tanker (this was named as Restructuring Deal of the Year in 2016), class action proceedings, as well as local and international arbitration proceedings in various areas, such as oil and gas, construction, banking, real estate and aviation.

Brian has assisted Indonesian conglomerates, multi-national companies, state-owned banks, and state-owned enterprises in dispute matters, general corporate matters and major projects, including in negotiating a COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan in Indonesia of major US-based pharmaceutical companies and a divestment plan of a major US-based mining company with the Government of Indonesia.

Before joining MHMS, Brian held position as Associate Partner at HHP Law Firm, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International in Indonesia. He graduated from Columbia University School of Law for his LL.M degree and graduated from the Faculty of Law of University of Indonesia for his Bachelor of Law degree. Brian is also a member of the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI).

Helena Sitorus

Helena Sitorus has extensive experience in handling a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions, including merger and acquisitions, joint venture transactions, and corporate restructuring. She has advised domestic and international clients on foreign direct investment, corporate compliance, general corporate matters, and digital initiatives across a variety of industries such as healthcare and pharmaceutical, food and beverage, trading, and manufacturing.

With her deep expertise in healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, Helena has advised clients on business expansions strategies, local distributor engagement and termination, product licensing requirements, day-to-day corporate compliance exercises, as well as procurement and tender process by governmental institutions.

Before practicing at MHMS, Helena was a legal counsel at an Indonesian investment arm of a global pharmaceutical company after practicing law at prominent Indonesian law firms, including HHP Law Firm, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International in Indonesia. She graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University in 2009, and obtained her master’s degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2017 on a scholarship awarded by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP). Halida Nurina

Halida Nurina has extensive experience in handling a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions, including financing and acquisitions, involving banking, financial institutions, fintech companies, and other technology companies in Indonesia. With her in-depth understanding of the commercial and operational challenges faced by these companies, she has also successfully helped them to establish compliance and legal systems and secure licenses and approvals from relevant regulators, as well as advise on corporate compliance and general corporate matters.

Prior to joining MHMS, she held a senior position in compliance and legal affairs at a prominent sharia digital bank and fintech company in Indonesia. Previously, she gained valuable experience practicing law at leading Indonesian law firms, including HHP Law Firm (a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International in Indonesia). She obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from Padjadjaran University's Faculty of Law in 2006 and her Master of Laws degree from the University of Indonesia in 2009. She graduated cum laude and as valedictorian from both institutions. Halida is also a member of the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI).

Azhura Azliandara

Dara joined the firm in early 2023 and focuses her practice on corporate and commercial law matters. Since joining MHMS, Dara has been involved in assisting nationwide and multinational companies with transactional and advisory matters related to Corporate Compliance, Foreign Investment, and Data Privacy across a variety of industries.

Dara graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, majoring in Economic and Technology Law. During her academic years, she was actively involved in various student organizations.

Bari Eka Nugraha

Bari joined the firm in 2023. He focuses on commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution practices. Bari’s experience includes litigation before district courts, high courts, administrative courts, as well as the Supreme Court and arbitration proceeding. He has also assisted clients in criminal investigations into a variety of crimes, such as fraud and embezzlement.

Bari graduated from Universitas Indonesia in 2019. Before joining MHMS, Bari was an associate in a couple of law firms focusing on dispute and resolution practices.

Jeff Gerardo

Jeff joined the firm in early 2023, where he has been actively involved in a range of commercial disputes, including investment and shareholder conflicts, as well as bankruptcy and restructuring matters. He also has experience in industrial relations disputes, general corporate issues, and criminal investigations.

Jeff graduated from the Faculty of Law, Atmajaya Catholic University of Indonesia.

Michelle Yosefanny

Michelle joined the firm in early 2020. She has been deeply involved in a wide array of commercial disputes, including insurance, oil and gas, and shareholder disputes. Michelle’s experience includes representing clients in industrial relations disputes. She has also assisted clients in police investigations and an investigation by the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU).

Michelle graduated from the Faculty of Law, Parahyangan Catholic University. Prior to joining MHM, Michelle practiced with Budidjaja International Lawyers where she was involved in both litigation and general corporate matters.

Moses Mesakh

Moses joined the firm in mid-2024, focusing his practice on dispute resolution matters. After working for nearly three years at one of the prominent boutique law firms in Jakarta, he has been actively involved in arbitration and anti-monopoly and unfair business competition proceedings. Since joining MHMS Advocates, Moses has handled a range of commercial disputes and advised clients in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, tech unicorns, and consumer goods.

Moses graduated from the Faculty of Law, Parahyangan Catholic University and he is a member of the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI). In May 2024, Moses successfully completed the international arbitration introductory course by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), making him eligible for associate membership with CIArb.

Novia Asri Widyasari

Novia Asri Widyasari is our dispute resolution associate. Novia has developed a robust practice focusing on commercial disputes, state administrative disputes, criminal investigations, and land disputes. Her expertise spans various sectors, including mining, distribution, construction, telecommunications, and financial services. Novia's proficiency in handling complex cases is evident in her work on contractual and distributorship issues, construction and telecom disputes, as well as sensitive matters involving the revocation of mining and distribution licenses.

She has also assisted clients in criminal investigations related to forgery, fraud, and embezzlement.

Novia is admitted to practice in Indonesia as a member of the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI). She continues to uphold the highest standards of legal practice while serving her diverse clientele with dedication and expertise. Graduating from Parahyangan Catholic University's Faculty of Law in 2018, Novia brings valuable experience from her previous role as in-house legal counsel for a Jakarta-based financial services holding company.

Ryandra Nurrahaldi

Ryandra Nurrahaldi joined the firm in early 2023. He has been engaged in corporate and commercial matters related to foreign investment and acquisition transactions. He has assisted in various areas, including due diligence projects, acquisitions, joint ventures, property, healthcare, and corporate compliance. Ryandra has also assisted clients in establishing businesses in Indonesia, including setting up limited liability companies and obtaining general and supporting licenses.

Ryandra graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Law, University of Diponegoro. Before joining MHMS Advocates, he gained experience as an in-house legal officer at a leading telemedicine startup in Indonesia, where he focused on drafting and reviewing contracts.

Tamara Putri Berliani

Tamara joined the firm shortly after her graduation in 2022 shortly after graduating. Her practice focuses primarily on general corporate and commercial matters, and data privacy matters in addition to pharmaceutical and healthcare, and foreign investment matters. Since joining MHMS, Tamara has been involved in a variety of projects and advised clients on corporate compliance, general corporate matters, and data privacy across a variety of industries such as healthcare and pharmaceutical, trading, retail and manufacturing.

Tamara graduated cum laude from Padjadjaran University, majoring in Intellectual Property & Technology Law in 2022. At university, she participated in an international moot court competition, representing her university at the International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot Competition 2020. She was also active in a number of student organizations.
